Osaka, Japan — October 2025.
Karawang Artha Industrial Hill, one of Indonesia’s fastest-growing integrated industrial estates, proudly represented Indonesia at the World Expo 2025 Osaka, where it highlighted the nation’s long-term vision for sustainable industrialization and global collaboration.

In his address, Mr. Jansen Tri Utama, representing Karawang Artha Industrial Hill and Indonesia’s delegation, expressed his gratitude to distinguished guests including H.E. Mr. Faisol Riza, Vice Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, H.E. Mr. Deng Tao, Vice President of Guangxi Liugong Machinery Co., Ltd., and H.E. Mr. Lin Long, CEO of PT Liugong Machinery Manufacturing Indonesia.

Evolving for the Future

Karawang Artha Industrial Hill reflects on a fundamental truth of progress — adaptation.

“The theory of evolution teaches us a simple truth: survival depends on adaptation,” he said. “In today’s global market, businesses and industrial estates must evolve or risk being left behind. The same applies to nations.”

We noted that Indonesia’s resilience and commitment to providing a stable and secure environment for investors have been pivotal in strengthening its global partnerships. As a member of the G20, Indonesia continues to emerge as a prominent investment destination, offering a balance of opportunity, security, and hospitality.

Indonesia’s Economic Momentum

Indonesia is on track to become the 5th largest economy in the world by 2035, powered by its young population, expanding middle class, and rich natural resources.

Ongoing infrastructure development and structural reforms further enhance Indonesia’s competitiveness, while the nation’s demographic dividend by 2030 ensures a continuous supply of skilled labor for its growing industries.

Indonesia’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose by 2.81 points year-on-year, reflecting steady domestic demand and technology-driven industrial efficiency.

Government Commitment to Downstream Industries

We highlighted Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto’s national vision to manage natural resources for the people’s benefit, develop downstream industries, and create high-value employment.

The Omnibus Law (2020), along with policies encouraging local content and investment certainty, demonstrates Indonesia’s strong commitment to fairness, transparency, and sustainable industrialization.

He also emphasized the Artha Graha Peduli CSSR Program, which integrates social responsibility through disaster relief, education, and community empowerment initiatives — embodying the group’s belief that business growth and social progress must go hand in hand.

Karawang: The Heart of Indonesia’s Manufacturing Powerhouse

Located in Karawang, West Java — Indonesia’s manufacturing heartland — Karawang Artha Industrial Hill stands amid a thriving industrial ecosystem that produces over 60% of the nation’s automotive output. Much like Nagoya and Tokyo in Japan, Karawang and Bekasi are now recognized as Indonesia’s own industrial hubs.

As part of the Artha Graha Network, Karawang Artha Industrial Hill offers a comprehensive and sustainable environment for global manufacturers. It proudly hosts Indonesia’s most complete EV ecosystem, from battery manufacturing to BEV machinery and recycling facilities.

In alignment with the Green Industry Program, Karawang Artha Industrial Hill prohibits the use of coal, focusing instead on renewable energy projects, advanced waste management, and green-certified infrastructure that promote long-term economic and environmental sustainability.

West Java’s Unmatched Investment Appeal

West Java remains Indonesia’s top investment destination, recording more than USD 750 billion in total investments over the past 15 years. In 2025 alone, the province achieved a record USD 16.3 billion, mainly from manufacturing and infrastructure sectors.

Karawang Artha Industrial Hill and its surrounding area have attracted USD 10 billion in new industrial investments within just the past year. Karawang’s dynamic workforce — over 1.15 million people, including 370,000 in manufacturing — continues to power the region’s industrial growth and innovation.

Building a Sustainable Tomorrow

Mr. Jansen closed with a message of shared responsibility:

“Sustainability is not a goal for tomorrow — it is the responsibility of today,” he said. “At Karawang Artha Industrial Hill, we are proud to contribute to Indonesia’s journey toward a greener, smarter, and more inclusive industrial future.”

The event concluded with the premiere of Karawang Artha Industrial Hill’s official video, showcasing its evolution, milestones, and unwavering commitment to building a sustainable industrial ecosystem for Indonesia and the world.
